Autumn Leaves Sweater

This has to be my favorite sweater I have made in my recent knitting spree! I didn’t like the yarn so I searched for a pattern I loved, and it turned out to be my favorite.

It is a free pattern called Autumn Leaves by Nikki Van De Car. I used Sirdar Country Style DK yarn in color way 021452.

I made one “mistake” on this pattern, but I preferred it this way so kept going with the “mistake.” I increased to often and made the flare more pronounced. I prefer flared skirts so I was happy with this mistake.

The sweater does require buttons; I just haven’t found the perfect buttons for this yet. They must be perfect so I am still on the lookout.

Update 8/14/15: I finally got buttons for this little sweater.

My mom helped, and she wanted to know if you could put a little boy in this sweater. I guess you can put a little boy in anything, but I'm not so sure what he would think about it when he was older. :)
