Green Newborn Vertebrae

When I was cleaning out the closet in the office I found some pretty green yarn. It was so soft I decided to make a sweater for Isaac, but there was no label with the yarn so I had to figure out the weight. It turns out that all you do is wrap the yarn around a pencil and count how many wraps per inch.

Once I had figured out the weight I went looking for a pattern, and found this cute little sweater. It is made to be open in the front so you can do skin to skin and the sweater still keeps the baby’s back and arms warm.

The pattern is Newborn Vertebrae by Kelly Brooker.

I had yarn left over so I made a matching hat using Basic Baby Hat pattern by Heather Tucker.
