2016 Goals

Last year I made a list of goals for 2015, it started off great, and then I lost my list…

Good news is I did stick to the goals I remembered, but “forgot” about the others.

I need to be constantly reminded about something, so seeing a list of goals everyday helps me a ton!

This year I am setting fewer goals, fewer more important goals, and posting them here so I can keep myself accountable. Hopefully this will help me, and I can’t loose this list J

2016 Goals

1.    Complete the 2016 Declutter challenge.
I did the 2015 challenge last year and it made my house feel less junky and made cleaning so much easier, which made my life so much easier.
The rules are easy; anything that permanently leaves the house counts as an item (trash counts, furniture counts, some people counted unhealthy relationships, you get the idea).
2.    Have the following things finished when Isaac arrives.
·      I still need to finish hanging art on the walls in the Master Bedroom.
·      Secure speaker wires, so Roomba stops trying to eat them.
·      Make sure birthing boxes are ready… by next week!
3.    Finish the following projects by end of year.
·      Clean out the Garage.
·      Cut down trees in back yard… Finally.
·      Re-gravel paths.
Yay, not nearly as much on this list as last year.
4.    Pay off some of our debt by end of year.
This is still being discussed. Do we want to pay off a certain percentage? Do we want to pay off a certain amount? Or just pay off as much as we can without setting a specific number? I am not optimistic enough to say all our debt, we aren’t going to win the lottery, but a good chunk of it is manageable.
5.    If God sees fit, have Isaac at home.
6.    Survive the first year with Isaac.
7.  Eat more meals from scratch, made with local foods.
We have already started this, but I admit I get tired and resort to “easy” meals. To make myself feel better, at least the “easy” meals come from the organic section of the grocery store…
8. Keep making the house less toxic.
Again, we have already started doing this. I replaced all our cleaning supplies with either natural products or homemade products. The MightyFix is also helping to introduce new products.
9. Complete a home inventory list.
I started this a few years ago after my parent’s house fire, but school got in the way. Since then we have added new items and gotten rid of others so it might be time to make sure at least the expensive/sentimental things are listed.
10. Special Secret Goal
This goal is all up to God so we will have to wait and see if it will happen this year.
