Weekly 2016 Goal Update, Week 3 of 52

1. Complete the 2016 Declutter challenge.
See the photos of all the trash from the garage...

2. Have the following things finished when Isaac arrives.
I still need to finish hanging art on the walls in the Master Bedroom.

Still waiting for Mama to bring the mirror and art down. She has been sick so hopefully she gets well soon.

Secure speaker wires, so Roomba stops trying to eat them.
Make sure birthing boxes are ready!

The Midwives came and did the home visit and we are all set to go. Now we just get to wait for Isaac to make his appearance!

Rehang laundry room shelves.

3. Finish the following projects by end of year.
Clean out the Garage.
Somehow when I intended to wash and put away all the baby clothes, I ended up spending the whole day cleaning out the garage. This is how it happened… I went to the kitchen to get something, and forgot what I went in there for. Then I saw I left a few recyclable containers on the counter, so I took them out to the garage. Then I got lent and dust all over my socks from the nasty garage floor (our dryer vents into the garage so it gets dirty). Well this made me want to sweep up all the stuff on the floor.

Then I had trouble sweeping around these so I started rearranging.
5 hours and 8 bags full of garbage I had a clean garage. I had been keeping lots of stuff like wood, nails, and things that were too small or messed up to be of use… so good bye! I still kept the usable scrap wood and nails, but they are more organized. I also found a use for our old “broken-ish” Irobot, he now lives in the garage and is scheduled to clean everyday. Hopefully that will help the lent problem and so far it seems to be working.

I will not consider the garaged “cleaned out” quite yet because there are still some things to sort through, but it is so much cleaner I smile every time I go into the garage now.

Cut down trees in back yard… Finally.
Re-gravel paths.

4. Pay off some of our debt by end of year.
Pay of Credit Card #1 –
Pay off Credit Card #2
Pay off half of Student loan #1

5. If God sees fit, have Isaac at home.

6. Survive the first year with Isaac.

7. Eat more meals from scratch, made with local foods.
I have been cooking a few freezer meals with our new meat from this weekend so hopefully that will help limit take-out after Isaac gets here.
I also made beef broth and the dogs got the left over bones, so even they are eating better J

8. Keep making the house less toxic.
This month’s MightFix was reusable sandwich and snack bags, which makes packing Vince’s lunch so much nicer! They are so much better than plastic baggies, and so much cuter… not that Vince cares about that cuteness any.

9. Complete a home inventory list.

10. Special Secret Goal
