Blue Keams Sweater

Once we found out baby was a boy I realized I had been knitting things that were a bit too girly for Isaac to wear. So I went on a search for more masculine patterns.

I found this little sweater, Keams by Taiga Hilliard Designs.

I kinda worked backwards to find this pattern. I had these buttons I really wanted to use. So I sorted through the yarn to find something that worked well (Red Heart With Love in Peacock), then I had to find a pattern that used similar yarn.

I made mine with only two buttons because sadly that is all I had. A friend gave these buttons to me amongst hundreds of others after her aunt died. When I found them there was six buttons and I was so excited… except they were covered in rust. I tried to clean them, but only two survived; all the others were too far-gone.

I thought this photo was funny, I got carried away and didn’t look closely at what was in the frame… but my huge belly decided to make it into the picture.
