Someday I will learn to check the
weather on a regular basis so I am “prepared” for cold fronts. Usually I find
out about cold/bad weather when it either hits or my sweet grandparents call to
warn me. Luckily this time Vince checked the weather and warned me it was about
to get very, very cold.
Thanks to the advanced warning I
was able to prepare so I didn’t have broken/frozen hoses and a frozen chicken
waterer. We also piled the chicken coop full of pine needles to help keep
chickens warm. They were so excited they thought it was Christmas!
Despite a day of preparing for
freezing temperatures, when my grandmother texted me to remind me to open the
cabinet doors under sink and let the sink drip, I had forgotten to think about
that.
I had wanted to spray paint some
bookshelves so I could finish the guest room, but I’m not going outside in this
cold, so that will have to wait. In the mean time I’ll work on the new Dinning
room table and the office. Maybe at least I can finish that.
