Honeydew Cowl

I may have mentioned, but I can never be sure, that a few weeks ago my grandmother came to visit and we went yarn shopping.

We got some lovely pink yarn to make a sweater and bonnet set as a baby gift, some grey yarn to make her a cowl, some green yarn to make her another cowl, and some white to make a sweater for my baby.

I had to wait for new needles to start the sweater, so I made her a cowl out of the green yarn.

I don’t think the cowl is what she was thinking from the picture so I wanted to make one and see if she liked it before I made both. In the picture it was double wrapped so it looked shorter, but it is in fact a long cowl

I used the Elizabeth Cowl by Katie Mayer. I highly recommend it for a beginner knitter it is so simple. However, I got easily bored and would put it down to start another project.

The yarn was Blue Sky Alpacas Worsted Cotton in color 602 Honeydew.

This may be some of my new favorite yarn! Luckily I have enough left to make a baby bonnet or baby socks. (I love I’m having a winter baby, there isn’t as much to knit for a summer baby.)
