I am heart broken today. Today I had to
take a sweet little stray to the Humane Society.
This sweet little girl wandered up to
Vince's parents house about two
months ago and had puppies. His parents cared for them and when the puppies got old enough they took them to the humane society and they got adopted. They tried to take the mama but she wouldn't be caught.

Sunday when we were visiting we were
able to coax her to come with us.
She got a bath and I then noticed she
is covered with little scars from a life on her own.
Monday I called around trying to find a
place for her, not much luck around here when there are so many strays.
That night Vince and I discussed it and
we'd let her rest a few days and then take her to the human society. My fear
was since she looked ragged she wouldn't get adopted then she'd be put down.
Luckily she looks better after baths and food. If she doesn't get adopted they
are supposed to call before they put her down and we will adopt her back and
then figure out what to do.
I managed to make it out of the Human
Society without crying but only made it to the car.
The man at told me she was “old,” that
breaks my heart because that means she has been on her own for much longer.
The upshot is if we end up adopting her
back it will save us on the cost of shots and her to be spayed. The problem is
we have two dogs and a baby on the way.
I
pray she gets a loving family, if not we are already attached and will not be
able to give her up a second time.
