When my grandmother
and I went yarn shopping, she bought me a pattern and some pretty yarn to make
my baby a sweater.
Once I finished the
cowl for her and the sweater and bonnet for a baby shower gift, I finally
started my sweater.
I am pretty happy
with the sweater, but I have some complaints about the yarn. Let me first say,
I LOVE the yarn… but I didn’t like that the skeins were so small I had to use
and therefore join 3 skeins together. I hate that because I always worry the
joins will come apart. Otherwise I love how soft and easy to work with the yarn
was.
The pattern was the Honeybear Hoodie by Sarah Smuland, published in Spud &Chloë, Little Spuds Collection No. 9221.
I used Spud & Chloë Outer yarn in color 7200 Soapstone.
I had intended to use the left over buttons from the Autumn LeavesSweater, but they were too small. It turns out that I had some real antler
buttons. They were perfect for the sweater, and as a special bonus they were
buttons I had found in my dad’s mother’s house after she passed away. My dad
was very happy.

I had to share the pattern photo since you can't see the cute little point in the hood. I really need a baby to try it on to get better pictures.
Update: A few pictures of Isaac wearing the sweater. He's not the best model since he can't sit up on his own, but he certainly is cute.
